Blue Dolphin Charters was featured on Outdoors
Ohio in Show #6 in 2009 (clip above), called Trolling for
Trophy Walleye. Tournament fisherman Gary Zart of Hinckley,
Ohio takes Joe and D’Arcy out on Lake Erie to show
them the latest trolling techniques for trophy walleye.
Despite rough and rowdy weather early in the fishing day,
the boys catch plenty of walleye - and get a BIG bonus.

Captain Gary Zart has
been fishing walleye tournaments for 10 years. In those
10 years he has had a staggering record of 15 wins, 37 top
fives and 60 top tens, including several Team of the Year
and runner-ups.
In 2011 Gary and Nicholas
took 6th place in the World Walleye Championship in Prairie
Du Chein, Wisconsin (Web note: Gary and Nicholas also weighed

here). When asked about his fishing accomplishments, from
the PWT, FLW, MWC, LEWT, WWA, Gary says:
"I have always found ways to catch
the biggest walleye as my tournament record indicates. Education
of worm harness trolling has been a passion of mine since
I started tourney fishing. Whether I'm doing a tv show,
seminar, or charter, I always give it my all. Since 2010,
my 14 year old son Nicholas and I have been doing full pro
circuits together. For 2012 we are going to fish the MWC,
LEWT, and the OWF and we are both looking foward to a very
successful year!"
